Duties & Responsibilities
As an automotive technician at Stivers Ford South, you’ll be responsible for carrying out vehicle repairs, acquiring necessary parts and tracking work orders, warranty repairs, recalls, service bulletins and more – all in service of providing the very best service and expertise for our customers. Duties of the position include:
- Receive customer vehicles and bring to stalls to carry out repair orders.
- Carry out repair orders in accordance with factory recommendations and standards.
- Diagnose issues with customer vehicles and carry out repairs after customer authorization.
- Acquire necessary OEM parts from parts department.
- Update service advisors with changes to work orders so customers can stay informed.
- Accurately document all work performed.
- Road-test vehicles for safety following repair work.
- Attend factory training classes. Stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and tools from the factory.
- Stay aware of the latest technical bulletins from the manufacturer.
- Keep customer vehicles clean and tidy.
- Follow housekeeping and organization procedures.
- Follow any federal, state, and local regulations for auto service.
